About
Two decades of intelligence experience, applied with discipline.
Greywing is a specialist intelligence firm working across protective and corporate intelligence, drawing on more than 20 years of experience in intelligence, investigations, and threat assessment.
We are judged on method: how information is collected, how judgement is separated from fact, how confidence is expressed, and how boundaries are respected.
Our work is delivered to general counsel, chief security officers, heads of risk, family office principals, sports organisations, agencies, and the teams who support high-profile individuals directly.
We work alongside existing security, legal, and protection arrangements rather than in place of them, and we will say plainly when a requirement does not warrant intelligence support.
Our position
Intelligence should reduce uncertainty, not manufacture certainty.
The most damaging failure in intelligence work is not a missing fact. It is a confident conclusion presented without the evidence to support it.
We commit to clearly distinguishing established facts, third-party reporting, assumptions, analytical judgements, and intelligence gaps — and to stating the level of confidence attached to each assessment we produce.
Where evidence does not support a conclusion, we say what is unknown, what would be required to know it, and whether obtaining it is proportionate.
Principles
The discipline underpinning the work.
Evidence before assumption
Separate known facts, reporting, inference, and analytical judgement.
Confidence matters
Clearly communicate the strength and limitations of assessments.
Human judgement
Technology supports collection, organisation, and analysis. Qualified analysts remain responsible for intelligence judgements.
Proportionate investigation
Investigative activity should be lawful, necessary, ethical, and proportionate to the intelligence requirement.
Continuity
Maintain intelligence over time so apparently isolated incidents can be understood in context.
Actionable output
Intelligence should help someone make a decision.
Professional standards
How we operate.
Confidentiality
Engagements, enquiries, and client identities are treated as confidential by default. We do not publish client names, case studies, or engagement detail, and we do not use client work as marketing material.
Lawful and proportionate practice
Collection is limited to what is lawful, necessary, ethical, and proportionate to the intelligence requirement. We do not claim access to protected government or law-enforcement systems, and we decline work that would require it.
Analytical responsibility
Technology assists collection, structuring, and analysis. Intelligence judgements are made by qualified analysts who remain accountable for them. No system decides whether a person presents a risk.
Defined boundaries
We distinguish clearly between monitoring, investigation, assessment, and escalation. Where a matter belongs with a client's security team, legal advisers, a platform, or law enforcement, we say so and support that escalation.
